2nd - Hawaii World Lion Dance Championships 2005

Khuan Yee Lion Dance Association
(澳洲群義龍獅會) was officially formed on the 17th December 2004.

We have competed and successfully won back to back titles as ‘Champions of the West’ following their campaigns in The World Lion Dance Championships in Malaysia in 2002 and 2004.

The team is coached by Master Charles Nee and trains in Hok San Sar Ping style of lion dacing with the teams affairs managed by Colin Rattle and David Lowe. The team owes it techniques and training to Sifu H.P Siow of Malaysia. Hoksan is now widely used and recognized in the world as the definitive style for competition and performances. The very essence of Hoksan is softness and to be able to express the emotions of the lion.

To show our commitment to promoting Australian lion dancing to the world, the team consistently aims to compete in all major world lion dance championships annually.
